Add a New Property

The Add a New Property feature allows you to easily add properties for advertising on the Rental Home Professionals website. Follow these steps:

1.On the Property Listings screen, click New to add a new property.

2.The Create Listings screen is displayed, where you can add details for a new property:

3.The fields required to create your property listing are outlined in the table below:

Enter a brief description about the property.

Select the type of property (e.g., Apartment) from the drop-down list.

Enter the address of the property.

Enter the additional information about the address of the property.

City

Enter the city name in which the property is located.

State

Select the state in which the property is located from the drop-down list.

ZIP Code

Enter the ZIP code of the area in which the property is located.

Monthly Rent

Enter the monthly rent for the property.

Security Deposit

Enter the security deposit required from a renter in order to rent the property.

Bedrooms

Enter the number of bedrooms that exist in the property.

Bathrooms

Enter the number of bathrooms that exist in the property.

4.Click Create Listing to add the property to your list of properties.

Or,

Click Cancel to cancel the action.

5.Once the listing is created, the Manage Listing screen is displayed. Here you can provide more detailed information on the property.

6.Select the listing template to use for your property listing from the drop down box.  All templates created by your company appear here.  To create or edit a listing template, click Manage. Refer to the Listing Templates section for more information.
7.Update the Headline for the property listing in the headline text box, if needed. Click Save to save the updated headline.
8.On the right side of the screen, there are important links/controls for editing and managing your property listing. Actions that can be performed via the links are outlined in the table below:

Status

Activate your property listing so it shows up on the Rental Home Professionals website. Refer to the Status section for more information.

Critical! Once you create a property listing,  you must activate your property listing using the Status link before it will appear on the site.

If a property is rented, this is also where you will deactivate a listing.

View as Tenant

View the detailed information of property that you have provided as it will appear to a potential tenant. This action opens the Property Detail page.


Edit Pictures

Manage the pictures that appear on your property listing. You can also reach the Edit Pictures screen by clicking directly on the main photo.

Refer to the Photo management section for more information.

Set Map Location

Set the location of your property on the map to ensure your property has been mapped correctly.

Follow these steps to set the location:

1.Click Set Map Location.
2.The Map screen opens. If the red color symbol is not accurately positioned on the property address, drag it to the correct position.
3.Click Save to save the updated map or click Cancel to cancel the action.

Inquiries

View a list of inquiries submitted by the potential tenants who are interested in your property. The inquiries are added by completing the Contact Landlord form from the property listing. You can export the list of inquiries to a Microsoft Excel file. For more information, refer to the Inquiries section.


History

View detailed rental histories for each property listed on the Rental Home Professional. This opens the History page.


Statistics

Analyze the data specific to your property. You can compare the average, high and low data values for properties by defining the comparison criteria. This opens the Statistics page.


E-mail Listing Information

Send an E-mail containing the property listing information as an attachment. It opens the E-mail Listing Information page.


Export Partners

List your property on other services. This opens the Export Partners page.


Market Analysis

Create a comparative market analysis for your property.  See the Comparative Analysis Section for more information.


9.To add a virtual tour of the property to your listing, follow these steps:
1.Select the Virtual Tour link from the links along the top left.  The Virtual Tour link window will open.
2.Enter the link for virtual tour in the Link to Virtual Tour text box. The link must be preceded with http://.
3.Click Test Link to check the specified link. It will open the link in a new window.
4.Click Save to save the virtual tour link or click Cancel to cancel the action.
10.Enter more detailed information on the property using the additional fields, making sure to click Save as you go.

No action.  This is the ID assigned to your property by the Rental Home Professionals website.

Lease Term

Enter the terms of the lease and list any special disclosures.

Lease to Own Available

Select the check box if a lease to own option is available.

Lease Details

Enter detailed information about the lease.

Application Fee

Enter the amount that is to be paid as the application fee.

Housing Assistance

Select the check box if the housing assistance is provided.

Pet Deposit

Enter the amount required for a pet deposit.

Pet Rent

Enter the monthly pet rent price.

Co-brokering

Select the check box if you are open to working with other property managers to rent this property.

Co-broker Fee

Enter the amount of the co-broker fee.

Co-broker Instructions

Enter instructions for those interested in co-brokering opportunities.

11.Enter more detailed information about the property such as facilities provided in the kitchen and rooms, flooring information, etc. Click Save to save the updated information.
12.The Company Documents section displays a list of documents specific to your company. You can add any documents that are specific to this property in the Property Specific Documents section.

13.In the Description section, enter a brief description about the best features of your property.
14.Enter the showing instruction and directions to the property location.
15.Click Save to save the property information.
16.Click Finish when the property listing is complete.
